
Irka Mateo was born on the ancestral land of Kiskeya—today known as the Dominican Republic—and is a descendant of the Arawak/Taino people, carrying the memory of a lineage rooted in healing and spiritual leadership. For decades, she has walked the path of cultural remembrance, devoted to the reclamation of Indigenous identity and sacred traditions. Her life’s work weaves together ancestral spirituality, ceremonial music, healing practices, and sacred ceramics. In recognition of her contribution, she was recently honored with the Taino Woman of the Year award by her nation. With humility and purpose, Irka continues to share the teachings of her ancestors, offering them as a living medicine for today’s world.

Shamanic Divination
Shamanic divination is a spiritual practice in which a shamanic practitioner seeks the assistance of compassionate spirits from another reality to solve a problem you are having. Using a shamanic tool, the practitioner can access the wisdom and knowledge of these spirit helpers to provide the best possible outcome.
Shamanic Cord Cutting Ritual
In this healing session, the practitioner will work on interpersonal relationships.
This is a shamanic ritual that allows the cutting of a negative connection or dynamic, and transforms it into a healthy reciprocal relationship.
