
Mo Fareed is an athlete, inventor, and entrepreneur whose work bridges sport, science, and social impact. A former player for the Palestinian National Football Team and a recipient of the Edison Award for Science, he is the founder of FC Mother and The World Cup of Healing—initiatives that use the global power of football to address maternal health, a $27 trillion global challenge.
Mo is also a co-founder of Delos and the WELL Building Standard®, which has redefined health in the built environment across 127 countries. He helped launch the WELL Living Lab in partnership with the Mayo Clinic and founded the Maternal Health Fund at Harvard as well as the first global maternal health lab at the Vatican.
A passionate storyteller, Mo has produced several documentary films including Goal Dreams, Nike Soccer NYC, BBC’s Frontline Football, TRT’s Mothers of Football, and the upcoming Amazon Prime series The World Cup of Healing.
He began his career as an analyst at Goldman Sachs and earned his degree in Economics and Philosophy from New York University, where he captained the varsity soccer team. His board work includes the Clinton Global Initiative, the Smithsonian, and Humanity 2.0. Mo splits his time between New York City and La Jolla and remains inspired by the love and legacy of his mother, Wesam.
